The force majeure policy explains how cancellations are handled when unforeseen events beyond your control occur after booking and make the stay impossible or illegal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When the policy allows cancellation, it takes precedence over the regular cancellation policy. The Landlord affected by an event covered by the policy may cancel the reservation. The Tenant will have the choice between a refund of the amount disbursed from which an administrative fee of 10% will have been deducted, or a credit note applicable to a future stay of a value equal to the amount disbursed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Situations covered<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Changes or restrictions on government travel requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Local or national emergencies, epidemics, pandemics and public health emergencies declared by authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Acts of war and other conflicts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Natural disasters (excluding frequent weather conditions, such as power outages lasting less than 24 hours, snowstorms, floods).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Situations not covered<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Any situation not mentioned is not covered. Examples of situations where the policy does not allow cancellation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Unexpected illness, disease or injury<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Legal obligations such as jury duty, court appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Travel advisories or other government advice (which does not prohibit travel).<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Cancellation or rescheduling of an event for which the reservation was made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Transportation disruptions unrelated to a covered event, such as road closures and cancellations of flights, trains, buses and ferries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you cancel a reservation for any of these reasons, the amount refunded to you is determined by the cancellation policy applicable to the reservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The usual cancellation policy applies and the reservation is not covered by the Force Majeure Policy.
